Pros

None

Cons

1. A family business in a sunset industry—a company with outdated traditional thinking that believes it is progressing, but actually is not.

2. You can actually understand how long it has been disconnected from the world (including in its thinking) just by looking at its clothing and website style.

3. The owner's wife manages design, while the owner manages sales. Their opinions often conflict, but they do not hold meetings together or listen to each other, leaving employees caught in the middle and causing departmental conflicts. Problems can never be resolved, and work is often done for nothing.

4. It is still stuck in its past glory, cannot accept new ideas, and neither delegates nor trusts others. A supervisor cannot—or does not have the courage to—make a decision on a simple matter, so everything requires endless signing and asking for approval.

5. What does “professionalism” even mean here? They seem to think employees can develop expertise on their own by learning more. There is no marketing planner, so the marketing campaigns proposed by sales are always stuck several centuries in the past. Sales staff are expected to double as delivery couriers and movers, while visual designers must also serve as interior designers, video editors, social media managers, electricians, decorators, store installation and removal movers, and general handymen—they are expected to know how to do everything (that’s right, 80% of the work time is spent contacting movers and decorators!?). They are also treated as sales assistants.

6. High reported salaries but low official wages; the company violates the Labor Standards Act and is even proud of it, apparently preferring to be fined rather than provide employees with the protections they are entitled to.

7. You may think overtime can be exchanged for compensatory leave, but you will be called in and told that it is not allowed.

8. Designers are required to conduct market research after work or on weekends, of course without overtime pay.

9. An app can take three or four years and still not be completed, which is quite ridiculous. There are also many simple matters that could easily be resolved, but for some reason this company makes everything unnecessarily complicated—and the results are often laughable.

10. Most of the company’s managers are extremely subservient, yet you can clearly feel the lack of team cohesion. Self-deprecation, complaining, and sarcasm are common.

11. The people in charge of aesthetics actually have poor aesthetic judgment. You can tell by looking at the products, Facebook page, and website—they are very low-end. The videos are truly hilarious too; it is obvious that there is no budget or expertise.

12. You get mocked for leaving work on time. Please search for Taiwan’s top ten sweatshop companies—they are truly impressive.

13. There are many cockroaches in the pantry. At lunchtime, lining up to microwave your lunch takes half an hour (the break is one hour), because there is only one microwave.

14. A female manager in one department is extremely arrogant. She is very good at flattering people, saying one thing to one person and another to someone else; she bullies the honest people in other departments, speaks loudly, has extreme mood swings, and is childish. She is very good at making sarcastic remarks and setting traps for others. I have never met anyone so terrifying!!

15. They keep producing _ _, which cannot be sold. How pitiful.

16. There is not much future or room for development. Don’t waste your time.
