Pros

Interviewed for the administrative assistant position.

The company environment is clean and bright, but there are not many employees in the office. During the interview, I was first asked to fill out an information form and a personality test, followed by an interview with two interviewers. The process was quite pleasant. After a brief self-introduction, they asked a few questions based on my résumé and explained the responsibilities of the position: covering for the receptionist when she takes leave, handling post office-related tasks, and assisting the general affairs and HR supervisors. The role also requires providing IT-related support, such as preparing presentations, and may occasionally involve supporting staff scheduling for presale housing projects on weekends. The salary is NT$26,000, with an adjustment after the probationary period.

Cons

The company is a little far from the MRT station, about a 10-minute walk. The policies and systems do not seem very clear. They said there would be benefits, but the year-end bonus would depend on the company’s annual revenue. They did not mention bonuses for the three major holidays, and there is no annual performance review; the timing is also uncertain and depends on the company’s situation at the time. However, I felt that this position could provide an opportunity to learn many things because the duties are quite varied. During the interview, they asked whether I could start work the very next day, as it was the beginning of the month. I said I would think about it for a few days because I still had other interviews, but they continued to persuade me strongly. I strongly felt that they expected me to start immediately. I told them I would think it over and give them an answer before the deadline, but after I left, they sent me a thank-you message. Their responses were inconsistent, so I am not sure whether this was because I did not agree on the spot to start the next day.
