A designer who had recently joined the company was unaware that the boss and the boss’s wife had completely opposing personalities and opinions. She chose to follow the boss’s instructions first, and when the boss’s wife found out, she became extremely upset. Instead of communicating rationally to understand the situation, she publicly insulted the designer.
The new employee, of course, did not return to work the next day.
Then began the difficult days for everyone in the office. The boss’s wife had waited a long time for a designer, but after driving her away with insults, she was apparently unable to accept the fact and began taking out her negative emotions on everyone, blaming other colleagues and affecting everyone’s work.........
Cats are cute
The boss manages the construction team, while the boss's wife is the design director. Employees are often expected to communicate proactively, but the two frequently have differing and contradictory opinions. No matter whose instructions you follow, it is considered wrong.
They especially like hiring fresh graduates. During interviews, they say all the right things and make themselves sound very impressive. But when asked how many months of annual salary there are, they actually did not understand the question!
The responsibility for taking care of the cats falls on the employees.
There are often misunderstandings between the design director and clients during communication, and she is unable to adequately convey the design concepts for the homeowners to understand. This leads to conflicts between the design results and the homeowners, and some homeowners consequently refuse to pay the design fee in full.
The design director is unable to clearly communicate design concepts to the drafting designers, so she resorts to losing her temper to apply pressure.
They use pirated CAD software.
They completely disregard the Labor Standards Act. Employees are restricted from leaving the office during break times. They go back on payments previously proactively agreed upon by the former employer, then turn against employees and make them leave, while refusing to pay severance and forcing employees to sign documents certifying payment of severance.
Before I left, the design director threatened to commit suicide and said that the departing employee would be held responsible for her death!
When requiring employees to leave, they did not make the legally required payments:
1. One month’s pay in lieu of notice
2. Severance pay calculated based on seniority
They only paid compensation for unused leave, while forcing employees to sign inaccurate severance payment documentation.
Applying for the government’s unemployment benefits also involved numerous difficulties. It was necessary to ask a mutually known elder to mediate before they would “believe” that unemployment benefits were “not” their responsibility to pay, and agree to sign.
