The deputy director at the Hsinchu main campus is a very nice person.

On Thursday, May 14, 2020, from 3:30 p.m., I went to the Hsinchu main campus to interview for the position of English tutor. The interview and trial lesson lasted until nearly 7 p.m.

At 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020, the deputy director of the main campus called to say that there was no vacancy at the main campus. They said that if I was interested, I could call the branch campus to arrange an interview time and trial lesson.

At 12:38 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020, I called the branch campus to confirm the interview time with the director. The administrative staff said that the director was not there, but they would help pass on the message and ask the director to call me back later.

At 7:45 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020, because I still had not received a call and the workday ended at 8:50 p.m., I called the branch campus again. The administrative staff said that the director had left work early because of a personal matter, and that they would notify the director and ask them to call me back.

At 3:27 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020, since I had not received a call before closing time on Friday and the school was closed on weekends, I called the branch campus again and confirmed that the interview and trial lesson were scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.

At 12:17 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, I was taking a train to the interview location when your school called to inform me that, because a suitable candidate had been found the previous evening, today’s interview was canceled.

Canceling an interview just over an hour beforehand?

If you found someone the previous evening, why couldn’t you notify me the day before?

I am dissatisfied with the way your school handled the recruitment of new staff.
