Pros

1. Two-hour lunch break

2. Some colleagues are nice

Cons

1. The company is basically full of a bunch of old people waiting for retirement, so don't expect to make any major progress. Some are kind and approachable seniors who deserve respect; the others lack the ability to get things done but nevertheless scheme relentlessly to destroy newcomers.

2. There is no overtime pay. Basically, you receive compensatory time off instead, but supervisors will pressure you not to submit an overtime application through the system. It then becomes “voluntary” work, and you won't even be able to get compensatory leave.

3. During the work-from-home period, they said that employees should take leave if there was no actual work being performed. But even when you did have actual work to do, the company's senior management still subjectively assumed that everyone working from home was not working, so you were not eligible to apply for overtime. You just had to work yourself to death.

4. There are many instances of nepotism, and personnel changes happen every few days.

5. For tasks that have a month of preparation time, supervisors won't mention them in advance. They wait until only a week is left, then suddenly decide they need to be done. You work from morning until the early hours of the next day every day, including weekends and holidays. When you finally try to apply for overtime, the supervisor asks why you didn't do it earlier and refuses to let you apply. At times like this, they will call you on the phone to avoid leaving evidence. From now on, whenever anyone from the company calls you, remember to record the call to protect your rights.

6. If you work overtime without applying for overtime, the company will send you a “welfare check email” asking you to fill in the reason online. The reasons are generally things like “I wanted to stay and chat with others,” “I was reading,” “I was avoiding peak hours,” or “I was eating with others.” They will also note that if you were working overtime, you should apply for it; if you neither applied nor provided a reason, they will consider that you voluntarily stayed until so late, not because of work. But as mentioned above, the supervisor simply won't let you apply for overtime, lol.

7. In short, it's terrible—a garbage company.
