Pros

Easy to get hired

Cons

The salary isn't very good, and the facilities are spread out. Having to travel between different sites for work is really a waste of time, and parking is difficult. The company is currently expanding its facilities and purchasing machinery, but the outdated factories have limited capacity. The skills learned here aren't very competitive when looking for a new job, so this is basically a training camp for new recruits. The turnover rate is high, and many people leave after simply using the job to gain experience; even many long-term employees can't be retained. The company is making money now, but many basic facilities still haven't been properly addressed, and there is a lack of planning on-site. I recommend going to a large company to broaden your horizons.

Pros

1. Many colleagues in the same department are also very nice. Sometimes, if you don’t be too particular about things, it’s actually okay.

2. It’s not as good as those above, but better than those below. Basically, the company follows labor regulations fairly well, so you don’t need to worry too much about blatant violations of the Labor Standards Act and similar matters. As for whether there may be some more concealed issues, I’m not sure; at least I haven’t encountered any.

3. You can learn a lot in some departments. You might think that at other companies, these tasks would be outsourced or assigned to another position, but looking at it another way, being able to learn these things is a gain. Otherwise, where would you learn them? They can be valuable if you do this work yourself in the future or change jobs.

4. The company is undergoing reform. Although I personally don’t have much confidence in it, whether things get better or worse, at least the company is changing rather than lying motionless on the ground. I can only hope that it will keep changing for the better.

Cons

1. Cost-cutting is prevalent, and benefits and compensation are getting worse and worse. We’ve been asked to share the burden through difficult times for years. Customer demand is increasing while staffing is decreasing and turnover is high, so everyone has to share the burden. So when orders decrease, will we get to share the benefits too?

2. I’ve “heard” about an incident that wasn’t happening for the first time. Personnel in Department B had to provide a “setting value” to personnel in Department A before A could operate. A called B to confirm it, but later discovered that B had provided the wrong setting value. B then shirked responsibility, saying that A had operated without asking. So you have to be careful and stay on guard while working here. There are all kinds of shameless people, and many procedures aren’t designed for convenience or efficiency, but to leave evidence.

3. There is too much that is difficult to express. It’s hard to explain clearly without speaking plainly, and corporate culture is gradually formed through the combined efforts of policies, managers, and employees. It definitely cannot be created just because someone gets angry, someone says what we should do, or a slogan is posted. I won’t say more. When employee morale is high, people will naturally praise you. When morale is low and you order everyone to give you a thumbs-up, how would you know which finger they’re actually holding up to “praise” you with? Everyone knows how to say one thing to a person and another to a ghost.

4. There’s a reason the turnover rate is high. A newcomer can’t help much, so senior employees have to do more. Yet the company only looks at headcount. By the time the newcomer becomes productive, they leave. The company loses the “training cost” invested in that newcomer and also leaves senior employees exhausted and dissatisfied. This seems to be a point many companies overlook. In fact, many people are merely going through the motions while waiting for an opportunity.

5. Once a trend has taken shape, how much will it cost to stop the wheels?

Pros

1. The process unit at the Duxing Plant is pretty good. Everyone is easy to get along with, and the senior colleagues are very nice. When newcomers first join and have questions, the senior staff are usually quite willing to guide them. It feels a bit like the warm atmosphere of one's student days. Of course, the supervisors (department managers and project managers) are also very nice!

Also~~ the plant manager and deputy plant manager at the Duxing Plant are both very upright and kind. In meetings, it basically feels like the deputy plant manager takes the lead (asking questions or offering suggestions), probably because they have more ideas?

2. Lunch is free (employees on the night shift get free boxed meals), and there is occasionally fruit as well.

Cons

1. Shift work (though it is actually a four-team, two-shift system with 12-hour shifts). I heard that shift work was not required in the early days???

2. The people in the Process Department are all easy to get along with, but..... people from other departments are...... @@"

Lunch is provided.

Cons

They follow a senior-junior hierarchy modeled after the military, so go only if you want to experience what military service feels like.

The turnover rate is really high.
