Interviewed for a managerial-level position. There was a written test as well as a hands-on Excel test, with a long list of requirements. The salary was below 60,000, and they have been continually recruiting for the same position.

A company with no conscience:
1. Pays NT$22,000 in the very center of Taipei City
2. Most crew members are from China, Myanmar, and Vietnam. They do not communicate clearly, drag things out, waste your life, and do not assign you to a vessel; Taiwanese crew members are left waiting to become unemployed
3. All materials on board are the cheapest available. The ear loops on face masks break before you can even put them on. They even cut costs on matters related to work safety; they do not replace the radar magnetron and use passwords to extend its service life
4. On-board interns are paid NT$22,000 and must intern for 13–15.5 months (normally 12 months), wasting their lives
5. Third officers earn NT$95,000 and second officers NT$110,000, which is NT$20,000–40,000 less per month than at other companies
6. Senior management cannot recognize talent properly. People with ability and integrity are not assigned to vessels, while those with poor ability and ethics BUT who are sycophants get assigned first
7. Waiting ashore for a vessel takes at least 4–8 months (with no income)
8. The company does not provide labor and health insurance for crew members
