Cross-departmental communication is very poor
At least there is still no water; having air conditioning in the office counts as a benefit, I guess?!
I was approached by a headhunter and had the opportunity to apply for the company’s overseas QARA position "again." Three years ago, I interviewed for a domestic RA position; the interview was conducted by HR, and the experience was very poor. This time, I was interviewed by a "QA supervisor" and "management representative" who were "not from the relevant field," and the situation was "even worse"! Nonprofessionals leading professionals—no wonder the experienced employees sent abroad quit.
No water was provided during the interview.
Had to do a bunch of logic tests... They can train your patience, logical thinking, and ability to withstand thirst.
It was a professional position, yet the HR representative conducting the interview was unclear about the position’s content and the company’s current situation.
Whether certificates exist or not can all be found online.
They insisted that things they clearly did not have existed... They insisted that certifications they did not have existed... Did they take the interviewee for a fresh graduate?
The interview time was agreed upon in advance, but then: “Because the supervisor has a meeting... it will be postponed by an hour.”
When I finally arrived for the interview, the interview was interrupted halfway through my conversation with HR when the HR manager knocked on the door.
After returning, the interview was over?! We had not talked for even half an hour, the key points were not covered, and I did not speak with the hiring manager at all!
A professional position, yet the entire interview was carried by an HR representative who did not even know how to ask questions.
In the end, they even made the interviewee leave on their own instead of seeing them out.
It made the company seem very impolite.
