During the interview, I had a very pleasant conversation with the quality assurance manager. The manager enthusiastically introduced the company, and we interacted well. I was also verbally offered the position and told to wait for notification. At the end, we added each other on LINE so we could discuss any questions.
After waiting almost a week without receiving any notification, I messaged the manager, but received no response. I called HR in the morning to ask about the interview result, and they asked me to wait a few more days. Yet that very evening, I received a rejection notice. The reasons given were: 1. professional skills, 2. the salary requested, and 3. system-related considerations. The manager in Suzhou believed that I was insufficient in all three areas and decided not to hire me.
Regarding point 1, couldn't this have been determined during the initial résumé screening? No questions about professional skills were asked during the interview either, so my time and effort were wasted.
Point 2 is understandable.
What does “system-related considerations” mean?
The explanation was vague and seemed like an invented reason for rejecting me. The manager showed no sense of responsibility or accountability: after telling me I was not selected, they chose not to read or respond to my messages and blocked me. During the interview, the manager used flattering words and made many pleasant-sounding statements but showed no sincerity. This reveals how calculating they are. It is clear that the company lacks integrity and makes a fool of job seekers. No wonder it has such a notorious reputation on PTT. I urge everyone to think twice.
