1. I applied for the Business Operations Analyst position, but the main interviewers were two business-unit managers, while HR only sat by and listened (during the first interview). The role primarily serves the business team, so they are looking for someone obedient. However, the organizational arrangement is quite strange: the position is managed by a unit that seems somewhat incompatible with it. It feels like they only want compliance.
2. There is a meeting with the general manager every Monday. The business manager said that working late on Fridays is normal because all the business data needs to be compiled. They also said that this department mainly coordinates, and that if the business team has any problems, we should accommodate them as much as possible.
3. There is a meeting with the general manager every Monday, and taking leave is not allowed. Leave can only be taken under unavoidable circumstances. They said that two employees who had been there for 15 and 16 years respectively had always followed this practice, so they wanted to make it clear in advance.
4. Overall, the business manager’s manner of speaking was not very pleasant. They had many demands, but explained them clearly in advance, which was good. However, having this position report to the business manager really feels inappropriate.
5. When you first join, there are English and aptitude tests. They are basically not very difficult, but English is generally not used on the job; the tests are only to assess your level. The salary range is NT$30,000 to NT$45,000, but in principle they will only offer you something close to the lower end of the range.
6. The second interview with the general manager was also a long, drawn-out interview. In fact, if they have doubts during the first stage, they should not proceed to a second interview. The company’s overall attitude is that the work is quite demanding.
None
On the day of the interview, they couldn’t even settle on a meeting room. The meeting room kept being changed, which made a very bad first impression. Later, during the interview with the department manager, their attitude was not very friendly either, coming across as aggressive and intimidating. The interview experience felt extremely poor.
