Read the community guidelinesI gained a fairly comprehensive understanding of the work environment and content.
I interviewed in Taipei, while the HR representative in Hsinchu handled the notification.
When I received the email, I saw that a large number of people had been cc'd, so I expected that it might take quite a long time to receive the result notification.
After the interview, because I had offers from other companies and had reached the deadline by which I needed to respond,
I asked the interviewer approximately when I could expect to know the result, so that I could notify the other companies.
The interviewer replied that it would be the following Wednesday.
After working hours ended the following Wednesday, I still had not received any response.
I emailed the HR representative in Hsinchu, who happened to be on leave that day.
Early the next morning, I received a notification from the Mailtrack plugin that the recipient had opened the email, yet I still did not receive any response for a long time.
Near the end of that day's working hours, HR replied:
"This round of interviews is still in progress....
We have not yet completed the evaluations and ranking~~
Please wait a little longer...
Thank you!"
I completely understand that the administrative procedures at a large company may be more complicated, but the email did not explain at all how long I was expected to wait.
If my abilities or anything else did not meet the job requirements, I would also have completely understood if you had simply told me directly that I was not selected.
Do the interviewees' time not matter at all?
Looking at the latest update date for this position, I do not understand what exactly "this round" is supposed to mean.
