Read the community guidelinesIf you have connections and the right background, you will absolutely thrive.
The parent company of the Kaohsiung plant, TTG (Taiwan Taikai Technology), has the same culture of flattery, with many petty people and cliques. Choosing the wrong side can lead to very serious consequences, because employees keep pulling one another in, and the overall quality gets worse and worse. You also have to know how to flatter your superiors. People use their connections to get others referred in—even junior-high or high-school graduates can become engineers and earn more than you. If you unfortunately get an interview, pay attention to the position and title you applied for. For example, a job bank may post an engineer position and notify you of an interview, but then tell you that it is actually an assistant engineer position with a monthly salary of NT$23,000. I was a victim of this. Your supervisor will tell you that you need to start from zero, otherwise you will have a hard time here. But after joining, you find out that those with connections do not have to start from zero at all; even vocational high-school graduates can become bosses there and thrive. This is a case of birds of a feather flocking together—when one person prospers, even their pets rise to prominence. They will also take down job postings containing comments unfavorable to the company on the Job Search Insight platform and repost them so that you cannot see them. If you do not want people to talk about it, then do not do such things. It is truly a terrible company where people are treacherous.
I can't think of any advantages—there are a ton of disadvantages.
The manager, colleagues, work environment, and atmosphere are all very poor.
