During the interview, the HR representative used their phone several times to reply to messages, which made me feel somewhat disrespected.
The week after the interview, I proactively asked about the interview progress. HR told me that they hoped to hire me, but that I first needed to complete the reference call process before moving on to salary negotiation and hiring. After I notified my former colleague and sent their contact information to HR, my messages were read but went unanswered. I patiently waited until the following afternoon and asked about the progress again, but was still left on read, and my former colleague had not received a call either. The next day, having lost patience, I asked HR whether they had found another suitable candidate. Only then did HR immediately reply, saying that because there were many applicants, they had determined after further consideration that I was not suitable and had found another candidate. The response was also extremely formulaic. All I can say is that this company's candidate selection process is essentially just sending mass, careless replies: they give you hope to keep you waiting while they continue screening, and even when they decide not to hire you, they do not proactively inform you. It is an extremely impolite company that loves wasting job seekers' time.
