Pros

You can pass the interview as long as you prepare.

Cons

Don’t expect to leave work on time—it’s impossible; don’t expect overtime pay—it’s even more impossible. But there are still things you’ll get: all the high pressure of the tech industry and the pressure of project timelines, plus the work experience of being on call and always available like at TSMC. If you feel your life is too smooth, I recommend joining and enjoying the feeling of being exploited.

Pros

Specialized in treating numb feet

Cons

1. Endless revolutionary camaraderie and weathering hardships together

2. Learn advanced meeting skills

3. Human potential is limitless; such a sensitive topic as overtime pay definitely cannot be mentioned

4. It doesn't matter whether the product has been fully tested

5. There's also a QA who's been here for a long time—what the hell are they supposed to test, and how to test it, they don't know either?

“I didn't believe what the predecessors had written before, thinking I would be the exception.

Now that I think about it, I really did overestimate myself.”

This line slapped me in the face hard

It’s been some time since I left.

Recently, some friends were talking about wanting to resign, and I realized things are just as bad.

The wave of resignations is still continuing, and scapegoats are still being singled out.

Projects are highly demanding, and R&D staff have to take on a large amount of non-development work, including PM, FAE, QA, factory-related duties, and more.

Salaries are “far” below the industry standard. Basically, it’s around a contracted salary of NT$45K per month × 12; don’t expect anything beyond that.

Even the PM and QA staff are nearly all gone. The mechanical engineering team was completely wiped out, and the factory staff have also been replaced several times.

The entire company feels lifeless, although I heard they’ve recently started holding birthday parties.

Senior management is very accustomed to having their way and has bad tempers. It’s extremely common for different departments to argue with each other during meetings.

I strongly do not recommend this company.

The attrition rate is extremely high here, whether you have experience or not.

Think about your salary. Look at what you actually do.

And then your supervisor says that anyone without ability should go to QNAP, Synology, and so on. Are you people living in a parallel universe...?

QNAP R&D’s annual salary alone is already more than double...

Pros

I thought for a long time, but I really couldn't think of anything.

Cons

The turnover rate in the RD department is extremely high, so you really need to think twice before joining.

I didn't believe the comments from previous employees before, thinking I would be the exception.

Looking back now, I really did overestimate myself.

There’s no 14-month bonus, so you really should think it through carefully before joining ^_^

Cons

NAS stability is extremely low, and customized projects are handled by one person, leaving no room for discussion;

There are a large number of bugs, the schedule is very tight, and even the QA team is leaving.

The turnover rate is high, and there is no 14-month salary. Think carefully before joining.

The turnover rate is extremely high; the R&D team gets new people every year. == The system is full of bugs... It crashes at the drop of a hat... Think carefully before joining. Also, I recently heard that they have started losing a lot of money...

After calling to notify me about the interview, they said they would send an interview email. I waited half a day, but the email never arrived, so I felt stood up.

On the day of the interview, HR even called and said, “Didn't we already go over it during the interview notification call...?”

OS: =0=.. Lady, are you clueless... You didn't even send the email... How was I supposed to know where the interview was or who I was supposed to meet?

It felt terrible.

After receiving the offer letter, I politely declined the offer by replying three days later. The recipients also included everyone who had been looped in on the offer letter.

Yet, on the originally scheduled start date, I actually received a call asking why I hadn't shown up to start work....

Could they be any more unprofessional?!!!

Pros

I interviewed for a product manager position at a NAS company. There was no test at all; the interview with the supervisor started right away. That part felt pretty good. As someone without PM experience, I felt I could learn a lot. It sounded like the job covered everything from hardware and software project management to product marketing. The supervisor didn't ask any particularly tricky questions; instead, he kept asking me, "So, what other questions do you have?" (Very intriguing.)

Cons

After speaking with the supervisor, I then interviewed with the CEO. This was where I started to feel a little "under the weather."

At first glance, it sounded like a very experienced elder sharing his views on life, but you could hear the tendencies of an "old-school exploitative boss" everywhere.

I also felt that the CEO looked down on people a bit. My requested salary was based on adding NT$2,000 per month to my previous salary, but the CEO said, "Given your experience, even offering you the original figure would be a stretch." He even said, "For your previous job, I also think your boss paid you too much for that." He went on to say that if this kind of work were done overseas, anyone could do it, and that Taiwanese companies pay technical documentation engineers too much...

Also, when I asked about the company's technological advantages and how it competes with several major domestic companies, the CEO went around in circles and couldn't provide an answer. His answer was actually that the other major companies had also nearly gone under before and had only barely managed to survive. (I thought to myself, so what? What about your company?!!!) As for market share, judging from what the CEO said, it sounded like they were merely living off the scraps left over by the major companies...

BTW, regarding salary and benefits:

There is no guarantee of 14 months' pay, and leave follows the Labor Standards Act.

If you don't pass the interview, you won't know—the supervisor doesn't want to tell you.

Cons

The supervisor saw that your test results were poor and just brushed you off, sending you to HR to see you out.

But personally, I feel they didn't take the improvement very seriously... speechless.

Pros

Based on my experience from the previous interview, the procurement manager is highly capable, and those with less experience can learn a lot from her.

However, there are internal issues with interpersonal relationships within the company. If that doesn’t bother you, you can consider taking a look.
