Read the community guidelinesUniforms are provided / The manager is very nice (not the store manager) / When working the closing shift, you get another hamburger to eat.
The work itself is not a major problem; it mainly involves taking orders, handling payments, assembling orders, and delivering food.
I believe this is not the case at every branch, but at the branch I worked at, one long-time employee treated newcomers very poorly. When preparing the closing-shift employee meal, that person even ignored one newcomer and did not ask what they wanted to eat, simply because of personal preferences. Also, when handing over food, they would throw it into the order-assembly area with considerable force. If the hamburger packaging was not done properly, they would not show any sign of embarrassment or apology.
The store manager would casually hit employees on the head, including female employees. (Super disgusting)
Some employees are quite nice... Most of the store managers are very good.
You won't be made to work excessively long hours.
You can often eat burgers (if that counts as a benefit).
I worked at the headquarters for over a year, and I honestly feel that Burger King Taiwan has no future.
Many long-time employees do nothing but shirk responsibility. Those who genuinely wanted to get things done were driven out.
There is a reason stores are closing one after another. The entire team has major management problems. It's hard to imagine that such a large company's management practices could be so laughable, while the pay is also pitifully low.
The holiday bonuses are still Burger King discount coupons...
Unless you're really short on money or can't find another job, all I can say is: run!.
