Pros

None.

Cons

I encountered an extremely rude interviewer who made me fill out a huge amount of pointless paperwork. I was too lazy to write it and left it blank, so an older female interviewer taunted me, “You’re bad at math, huh? If you’re bad at math, your logic must be bad too!” She then started aggressively criticizing me and even correcting my translation, although there was nothing wrong with translating it that way. She seemed very afraid of being looked down on and insisted on talking until I agreed that she was right—what a pain. Even now, I don’t know who she was because she never introduced herself. I only remember that she was an impolite older woman. The receptionist was fine and fairly polite! But the interviewer was such a pain that I simply left. She even jogged after me and asked, “Miss, what did I say?” I just gave her a cold look and couldn’t be bothered to reply!

Pros

The quality control supervisor is a nice person.

Cons

The HR staff member who also handles the front desk had an extremely bad attitude, as if I owed her something.

The interview began with a few simple math questions, roughly at a high-school level.

After I finished, the quality control supervisor interviewed me and asked questions. Once that was over, they showed me around the factory while waiting for the general manager to become available.

When the general manager was free, he conducted the interview. You had to try to flatter him when speaking, otherwise you could expect to be humiliated by him.

After it ended, I chatted with the security guard and learned that the general manager’s interviews usually run from around two or three in the afternoon until six or seven in the evening.

Pros

Everyone was forced to work overtime, so I just left—felt great!

Cons

People come and go; only the old-timers who have been around forever can stay. Every year, there are more applicants than there are employees in the entire company. The whole company is run by the general manager’s family. It’s worth going if you know how to curry favor; don’t be someone who can actually do the work, or you’ll be ostracized because the old-timers are afraid you’ll outshine them.
