1. This was an interview experience from May 2018, and the HR representative was very friendly.
2. I interviewed for an international sales position. The manager asked me to introduce myself in English (I recited my English résumé to him), and then asked about my methods for business development. After I told him about my business development experience and approach, the manager offered me the job on the spot and even offered a salary higher than I had expected.
1. The company is very far from the MRT station. Unless you ride a scooter, commuting there by MRT is very exhausting.
2. The manager who interviewed me said that he had a bad temper. I thought he was being very honest, but after hearing that, when the manager offered me the job on the spot, I declined it on the grounds that commuting would be inconvenient. Everyone has their own temperament. Even if a boss pays someone to do work, employees are selling their time and expertise—not their dignity. If you have a bad temper and openly or implicitly expect your coworkers to put up with it, is that really appropriate? As adults in the workplace, if you cannot manage your emotions well, no one will want to work with you. You will always have to take on more than your share of the work yourself—is that really better?
