The hiring unit and upper-level supervisor have problems. After the interview, I was notified by phone that I had been accepted and could start work, but I never received a formal notification from HR. They only said that the upper-level supervisor had not yet approved it. Later, HR told me that the unit had said it was no longer hiring. I was stunned! It wasted the job seeker’s time.
