Pros

None

Cons

1. The employee meals are very greasy.

2. The accounting position is perpetually vacant and a disaster. The supervisor keeps saying that they will balance the books when they have time, but in reality, they never make the adjustments.

3. As soon as you start, they have newcomers track down their own accounting errors.

4. At 4:00, the supervisor leaves to pick up their child, then comes back to work overtime. Newcomers are scolded if they leave work on time.

5. They shift the blame onto people who have already left, as if none of it had anything to do with them.

6. There is no clocking in or out; you fill in your own working hours, submit compensatory-leave forms for overtime, and schedule your own days off.

7. When you work overtime, they additionally require you to fill out an overtime form, and they nitpick over whether you secretly reported overtime while eating.

Pros

1. Because the hotel provides meals for employees, you can save the cost of one meal.

Cons

1. Because it is an old hotel, the employees’ overall mindset is rigid and inflexible.

2. Long-serving employees look down on newcomers, thinking, “I’ve been doing this for many years—what do your suggestions or opinions matter?” The tendency to rely on seniority is very serious.

3. There is widespread internal discord, and communication problems exist in every department. The situation is quite serious.

If it’s an internship, it’s still okay if you can tough it out, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a full-time position~
