Pros

Once you get the hang of the sales position after two years, it becomes very easy. If you arrange your schedule properly, it can be quite comfortable.

You can use your spare time to further your studies and prepare to change jobs (I am no longer employed there). The managers are all very nice and willing to help with sales-related matters.

Highly recommended if you are semi-retired or just want to earn some pocket money! If you are serious about making money, use it as a stepping stone.

Cons

The salary is not high (it varies by region, but not by much). Although it appears to include sales commissions, in practice the salary is in roughly the same range as that of internal staff, regardless of performance.

The bonus system is extremely unclear and changes constantly. Even though the bonuses were already meager at the time, they were gradually reduced further.

The logistics and shipping department is very risk-averse, constantly holding up shipments and refusing to provide goods to stores, with no way to communicate effectively.

If you are not short of money and are simply looking for something to do, this company is a good fit.

Pros

1. The salary and benefits are fairly good for southern Taiwan, and the labor and health insurance, leave, bonuses, and benefits all comply with the requirements of the Labor Standards Act.

2. The interviewer answered every question and did not avoid any of my inquiries, allowing me to clearly understand the company’s policies, job responsibilities, salary and benefits, promotion channels, and more.

3. Although I had just graduated and did not have much work experience, the interviewer did not conduct a rushed interview. In addition to asking about professional knowledge, they also paid close attention to my personal attitude.

4. I was somewhat nervous at the beginning of the interview, but I felt quite comfortable during the conversation.

5. The facility has large expanses of green grass, and the environment is quite nice.

Cons

The only drawback is that it is relatively far from my home by scooter!

Pros

It’s quite remote there, so the cost of living should be relatively low, I guess.

Cons

1. Before the interview, you’re asked to fill out a personal information form. Whether what you write is incomplete or you clearly did write something down, they’ll criticize you about it.

2. There are two interviewers: one supervisor and one senior colleague. The supervisor barely pays attention to what’s written on your résumé and asks whatever they feel like asking.

3. The gender discrimination is extremely serious. Some departments even only want to hire local people.

4. The supervisor doesn’t understand the details of the job posting, including the benefits or subsidies.

5. Not only is there no overtime pay, they also act as if it’s perfectly reasonable to say they don’t like employees leaving work on time.

6. They ask a lot of private questions about your family. Some of the information is already written on the form you filled out at the beginning, but they don’t even read it carefully. Then what was the point of making me fill out that form?

7. They ask you questions about your motivations, and won’t let up until you say something that sounds bad. Then they humiliate you by saying you don’t know how to present yourself properly.

8. Even if you have an excellent academic background, as long as you’ve had a job unrelated to the position, they’ll say your résumé looks terrible and that it counts against you.

9. The way they ask questions is like they’re querying Google: they just throw out a single keyword, so you have no idea what kind of answer they actually want to hear. Then they say your answer isn’t what they were looking for, or ask you, “Do you know what’s wrong with your question?”

How would I know? 🙃 I can’t read minds.

10. Applicants from outside the area are repeatedly asked whether they intend to stay there. Even after you reassure them several times, they keep giving you a hard time. Recent graduates are also asked whether they might leave because they plan to pursue further education, get married, or for similar reasons. At first, I still had the patience to explain that I really would stay, but after being “interrogated” in that manner more than five times, I’m sure no one would want to go there anymore.

Pros

Couldn't find any pros

Cons

1. Very fond of asking about personal career plans, but when it comes to the company's own career development opportunities, they can't say anything substantial.

2. Extremely skeptical of personal continuing education and learning, on the grounds that someone resigned after completing further studies. Clearly, they just can't offer good compensation and benefits.

3. They treat the concept of an all-inclusive responsibility system as if it were perfectly natural.

4. Very interested in asking about information from previous employers—more interested in that than in the job seeker's abilities.

5. When I mentioned that my previous salary was 30,000, they said it was already quite good.......凸

No wonder it's a perennial job opening—a model for companies in central and southern Taiwan.
