They called at 3 p.m. to say that the interview would be in one hour, at 4 p.m., saying that this was to demonstrate enthusiasm. Because it was too rushed, I declined the interview.
I can't think of any advantages.
1. During leave, you may be pressured to attend classes or meetings, effectively reducing your time off.
2. The back-office system is extremely poor. It shows inventory as available, but only after a sale do you discover that there is nothing to sell.
3. The threshold for receiving bonuses for increasing sales has been raised, effectively amounting to a pay cut.
4. The supervisors lack accountability and are unable to help resolve reported problems. When the boss comes to inspect, they only present the good side, concealing the bad and highlighting the good.
5. The store uses a strange system whereby sales performance is credited to whoever processes the payment (for example, if a customer I served completes the payment after I am on leave, the sale is credited to the employee who assisted with checkout rather than to me). As a result, it is impossible to take leave with peace of mind, and employees may even have to give up their leave for the sake of their sales performance.
6. Due to the poor systems, staffing is severely inadequate.
