Can't think of any.
A restaurant with no standard procedures whatsoever; even after SOPs were established, everyone was taught something different.
The work schedule is only released 3 to 5 days at a time, and often you don't find out until the day before what time you have to work the next day.
On some days, I was told I could leave after working for less than four hours (I was full-time
The rice balls downstairs are cheap and delicious!
I have actually worked there before, and I strongly advise everyone not to join this company. They have no concept of the Labor Standards Act, no salary regulations, no work memos, and no employment contracts. Since none of the above exists, everything is decided by the little emperor; abrupt changes in orders are an everyday occurrence.
I won’t comment on something like “not respecting professionalism,” since that is too subjective. However, the statements “unable to trust professionals” and “only believes in himself” absolutely do not wrong the little emperor.
If you are fooled by the high salary he offers, just consider yourself deceived; it’s fine to go in and try it out, since it is easy for employees to leave now. However, I believe that in the end, you definitely won’t feel that you got a good deal.
When I joined, the little emperor’s empire was down to just two Korean restaurants. Recently, another one is about to close.
I believe anyone who has worked there understands why this happened...
How could there be any?
I deeply regret not Googling this company after receiving the interview invitation. I only came across the previous employee’s horrifying experience after becoming suspicious! First, as the previous employee also mentioned, the HR representative was unprofessional, did not know the Labor Standards Act, and lacked basic competencies. The notification process was sloppy and showed no respect for interviewees. If HR is so unprofessional, why conduct a second interview? Even if it was merely going through the motions, it was still a waste of the interviewee’s time! Furthermore, the head office was truly shabby, run-down, and so small that I thought I had come to a scam operation. The so-called “boss” was a thin-skinned, self-important young punk who could not discuss serious matters and kept bragging about whom he knew. The people he knew were not even major business owners, so I really don’t know where he got his confidence. Then he kept ridiculing and belittling the managers and employees on his own team, saying how terrible and ridiculous they were while portraying himself as a genius. Everything good was credited to him, and everything bad was blamed on the employees. No wonder this disrespectful old-school boss has to keep posting so many job openings! During the process, I realized that the entire interview was merely a ruse—in other words, the common practice of probing the industry’s salary levels and business secrets! Put plainly, they treated interviewees like fools, bringing them in to waste their time while arrogantly trying to collect industry information! It was already absurd enough, yet they still required interviewees to submit a project proposal. Does this person have no substance but treat every interviewee like a disposable novice who has never seen the world? After Googling, I discovered that this “genius” boss was remarkably bold. He really seemed to think no one would verify anything. The experience, company size, and even shareholding information he wrote at length were simply not true! All I can say is that this was the most ridiculous interview experience I have ever had!
None
The HR representative and company owner seriously lack professionalism. The interview process was changed repeatedly, showing no respect for the interviewee’s travel and time costs.
The company is located in an old building, with only three seats and a very small office. The total space is smaller than a studio apartment.
The person in charge is very young, but even in the shabby, cluttered, and run-down environment, he showed no sense of embarrassment whatsoever. He seemed so self-satisfied that one might have thought he was a billionaire boss exuding the confidence and authority of someone situated in a magnificent palace.
They did not discuss the interviewee’s professional expertise. Instead, they repeatedly tried to extract confidential business information about the interviewee’s previous jobs.
The interview process was extremely unprofessional, careless, and offensive. Any manager with management experience and recruitment expertise would likely find it very puzzling.
The job responsibilities kept changing and expanding, and did not match the job description. Despite being unable to offer a good salary, they expected the interviewee to be proficient in everything.
After verification, many aspects of the person in charge’s and the company’s claimed illustrious experience proved to be untrue, raising doubts about the company’s integrity and its practice of deceiving interviewees as though they were children.
I regret spending time on this company. Don’t ignore the warning signs, and don’t refuse to heed advice.
