Pros

Colleagues are easy to get along with

The training system is well established

Meals are served family-style, so you don’t have to worry about not getting enough to eat, and the dining area is also very nice

There are bonuses for the three major holidays and Labor Day, but they depend on seniority

The company’s environment isn’t too bad

For those who like sports, the company sometimes signs up as a group for sporting events

Cons

The year-end bonus is very small

Military-style management; mobile phones are not allowed

The supervisor is useless, sitting at their desk all day and occasionally standing up with their arms crossed to monitor everyone. They are also constantly trying to show results, exhausting the people working under them

Bereavement leave is not recognized if it has not been fully taken before the funeral

Requesting special leave really gets you hassled

Pros

1. Lunch costs 10 NTD and there are three meal breaks.

2. There is a parking lot with shelter from the rain.

3. The training is fairly well organized and is conducted once every two weeks.

4. Most colleagues are generally nice.

4. You can relive the memories of being disciplined in middle school.

Cons

It is a good brand in the cycling industry, and the company is also large in scale.

But in reality, there are numerous internal problems.

During the interview, they even put on an appearance of being very well organized.

It was only on the first day, when I read the company regulations after reporting for duty, that I learned the truth.

Among them are a number of items that violate the Labor Standards Act, as follows:

1. If you resign within seven days, you will not be paid.

2. After completing one month, if you want to resign, you must wait another two months before leaving; otherwise, you will only receive half pay.

3. The resignation date is basically decided by the supervisor. Usually, you can leave only after a replacement has been found (one colleague was held back for half a year).

4. If you make a mistake, you will be pressured to donate money (for example, forgetting to turn off the power, reporting above your level, or using your phone during work), and the amounts are not small either (I have seen 500, 1,000, and 2,000 NTD).

5. Annual leave or other leave depends on the supervisor's mood. There has been a record of annual leave being denied.

6. There is overtime pay, but it is not calculated based on your full salary; instead, it is calculated using a very low base salary. Even after multiplying by 1.33, it may still be less than what you would earn in one hour during the day.

7. Being one minute late results in a 10 NTD deduction plus a 1,000 NTD perfect-attendance bonus deduction, which is disproportionate (being one second late counts as one minute).

8. Sick leave is deducted from your full salary.

9. Bereavement leave must be taken by the day of the funeral; bereavement leave will not be recognized after the funeral.

10. You are required to work during typhoon days off.

11. There is a non-compete clause, but no compensation is provided.

The company's management style is also quite humorous:

1. The air conditioning is turned off after 5 p.m.; those who need to work overtime are on their own.

2. Meetings may run past 5 p.m., or may not start until after 5 p.m.

3. Everyone has to clean every morning.

4. Everyone is required to pay money for toilet paper on a regular basis (the stinginess is unbelievably excessive).

5. The stationery is so bad that you basically do not want to use it... (The eraser is so small that you have to pinch it with your fingertips; they only provide correction fluid, not correction tape, because it is more expensive.)

Company / team culture

1. The boss is self-centered, and emails sent to colleagues often contain sarcastic remarks.

2. The management is militarized. Using mobile phones at work is strictly prohibited, and the computers have no internet access, so Skype cannot be used. Communication between departments can only be done by phone (except when required for sales work).

3. Turnover is very high. Most new employees discover within a month that something is wrong and quickly leave.

If you are genuinely interested in bicycles and can accept these conditions, then come for an interview.
