Read the community guidelinesThis is not a company. It is a scam operation.
I simply want to write about this extremely disgusting job-hunting experience to remind everyone looking for work to keep their eyes open. When you encounter a company that maliciously plays word games, discusses a high salary but offers a low one, and unilaterally transfers you to another department, think twice!
The position I originally applied and interviewed for was very clear: “Measurement Engineer.”
We talked through the entire interview and got along very well. We discussed professional skills, measurement experience, and the actual work procedures in detail. The salary agreed upon on-site was NT$45,000.
But what happened next? At the moment I received the offer, I was completely stunned:
The job title was downgraded outright: the agreed-upon “Measurement Engineer” position was secretly changed to “Assistant Development Engineer”!
Not only was the department different,
but the salary was also cut on the spot: it was reduced by NT$3,000 from the amount offered during the interview (only NT$42,000 was offered)!
If your company thought from the beginning that I was not qualified to be an “engineer” or that you could not offer NT$45,000, you could have said so openly during the interview. Everyone could then have competed fairly and parted amicably.
Instead, you sounded so pleasant and acted so sincere during the interview, only to wait until the job seeker had turned down other opportunities and was eagerly awaiting the offer before presenting these disguised demotion and forced salary-cut conditions to disgust them?
This is no longer a matter of “the salary not meeting expectations.” It is a fundamental problem of integrity!
Changing the job title at will means that once you join, the work you do can be randomly assigned at any time, treating you as a disposable gofer.
Cutting the salary at will means that this company does not respect professional expertise at all and is trying to take advantage of job seekers’ tendency to compromise by thinking, “At least I got an offer.”
I would not dare work for a company that disrespects expertise and cannot even uphold basic integrity—not even if they paid me to join!
I am posting this in the hope that everyone will carefully examine any offer they receive in the future and not be deceived by the sweet talk used during interviews.
When you encounter a company that uses tricks to cut salaries and downgrade positions, reject it decisively. Do not sell yourself short!
There aren't any.
The highest-ranking female supervisor in Quality Assurance often verbally bullies subordinates and people from other departments.
Her angry scolding can occasionally be heard from the worksite, as though a sow were crying out at night.
