Pros

The supervisor discussed the interview details thoroughly. When issues arose at the guard post in the work environment at the site, they were also willing to provide assistance after being informed.

Cons

Apart from the fact that employees cannot choose the gifts given for Labor Day on May 1, everything complies with the Labor Standards Act. Overall, it is a pretty good security company.

Pros

None.

Cons

1. Made an appointment with someone, then arrived half an hour late.

2. While I was waiting, his colleague even suggested: “I don’t know when he’ll arrive. Do you want to come back tomorrow instead?” (Are you serious?

3. The person responsible for the interview still hadn’t arrived. I had already said I brought a résumé, and after we finished talking, he thought I was OK.

Filling out the company’s application afterward wouldn’t have been too late, but the people at this security company were really eager for me to fill out their application first.

(It’s not like I’m guaranteed to get hired. What are you in such a hurry for? Are you desperate for personal information?

4. He was going to be late but didn’t notify me in advance. Even after I arrived, I had to ask his colleague to call him. Only after repeated urging did he finally show up.

5. When punctuality came up during the interview, all he said was: “I was very late, so what?”

(I give up. I really can’t keep up with Taiwan’s interview culture these days.

6. I replied: “It’s nothing special. If you agree on a time, not being late should be a basic concept, right?”

He got angry, threw my résumé down, and loudly said: “Thank you!”

(I laughed. Is the current interview process really trending toward: arrive late—get called out—lose your temper—end the interview?
