It is simply a company with a very narrow-minded outlook.
And yet they think the benefits they provide are extremely good.
But they are fundamentally not legally compliant: there are no health checkups, no menstrual leave for women, and employees are required to work shifts on holidays before the Lunar New Year. They do not ask whether you are willing; they simply say it is the rule.
The company is run like a world of relatives and insiders. The boss’s daughter likes to police whether employees have left the restroom clean, and even checks the surveillance cameras to see who made a mess! But the only people who use the bidet toilet are members of their own family, and they never consider that it might be one of them.
The department manager at the department store only knows how to push things onto others and act as if nothing happened. When asked a question, the only response is, “I don’t know. Have you asked so-and-so?” If you really like solving problems on your own, you can go there, because you will have to accept that your manager is someone who knows how to do nothing.
During busy periods, employees work overtime, while the manager goes straight home, leaving only a “Thanks for your hard work.” There is no tangible compensation, and you should not even dream of receiving a bonus during the busy period.
The pay is extremely low, and there is basically no salary adjustment.
The warehouse manager lets their emotions affect how they work.
The boss raises their voice at the company and demands that employees not drink beverages; if they are caught, money will be deducted. The boss also demands that employees not say bad things about the company in public.
The boss’s daughter thinks that the manufacturer’s sales representatives should revolve around her, yet their performance is worse than that of other distributors.
They think they treat their employees extremely well. If you have a masochistic streak, you can go there.
Everyone at the company is fairly friendly, except for the management staff.

It is a family business, and all the managers are the boss’s relatives.
Overtime must be applied for one month in advance; without an application, there is no overtime pay.
There is no clear promotion system and no comprehensive benefits.
After leaving the company, they did not proactively provide a certificate of employment termination.
When I went back to apply for one, they kept passing the buck and delaying it. I still have not received it.
Their HR person also serves as the accountant, which is extremely difficult,
and she also has to act as the boss’s secretary—even though the secretary is clearly her own daughter.
The head of the marketing department holds the position of the boss’s secretary,
is definitely not a graduate of a related field,
and has no relevant work experience. Their marketing sense is terrible.
They mainly rely on external consultants for help,
but the consultant only comes once a month.
The head of the marketing department starts work at 2 p.m. and leaves at 4 p.m. every day.
They may not reply to messages on the same day, and may not even show up.
In short, think twice before joining this company.
How can there be any pros when it hasn't even started yet?
They proactively sent an interview invitation, but after I replied agreeing, they emailed to politely decline. What is this company's HR even doing?
This company is very strange. The woman who called to arrange the interview had a terrible attitude and spoke so quickly that it sounded like chanting. When I arrived for the interview, the woman who arranged it kept looking me up and down, which felt very uncomfortable. Shortly after joining the company, I attended a meeting and discovered that the boss loves talking about politics and has strongly pro–Democratic Progressive Party views. He spoke incoherently, kept repeating himself, and never got to the point. I was nearly falling asleep listening to him!! He also kept emphasizing how good the company was and how compliant it was with the Labor Standards Act, while mentioning some rules that were clearly unreasonable—the rules completely contradicted what he was saying. After the meeting, I just wanted to resign immediately. With a boss like this, it is better not to stay at this company.
