Pros

It's okay as a boring part-time job.

The salary violates the Labor Standards Act.

But the job doesn't really require anything.

The company looks like it's about to go bankrupt.

Cons

Violates the minimum wage requirements of the Labor Standards Act.

None

Cons

1. I interviewed there last year. The office space was cramped, which gave me the impression that the business was not doing well.

2. The position was an overnight shift at a religious-affiliated hospital in New Taipei. Responsibilities included access control and security checks on the floor for patients with mental and physical disabilities, sitting at the information desk to monitor surveillance cameras, conducting patrols every 15 minutes, supervising patients taking medication, restraining patients who became violent, and so on. It seemed like it would be very tiring, and the designated break time was 1.5 hours. Also, if there were too many staff members, employees might be reassigned to support the morning shift. Since I do not want to work rotating shifts, this was completely unacceptable to me.

3. The offered terms were six days off per month and a monthly salary of NT$34,000, with additional leave resulting in a pay deduction. During the one- to four-month probationary period, the head nurse would decide when the employee could receive the NT$1,500 allowance. The total compensation did not meet the NT$37,000 requirement under the Labor Standards Act.

4. The workplace was a 10–15-minute walk from the MRT station, which was not very convenient.

I later found a better job and politely declined the offer.
