Pros

The colleagues at the company get along well. If it weren't for the good relationships among colleagues, reporting the company would implicate the employees below. I really want to report this awful company.

Cons

1. The company recruits full-time employees under its own name, but in reality the positions are not under the company; they are listed as work-study student positions under National Chiao Tung University. The only employee under the company is the boss.

2. The boss sexually harasses employees and business partners, both through actions and words. He gives female employees hands-on photography instruction, while his instruction to male employees is: “Give me the camera.” He makes sexual jokes or inappropriate remarks during meetings.

3. The boss buys personal items and charges them to National Chiao Tung University’s account. He does not provide business-trip allowances, and overtime pay for travel hours is cut in half. Even one hour of overtime is counted as only 158, rather than being calculated proportionally to a full-time salary. Overtime on holidays is not paid at double the rate. On business trips, he tells employees to buy their own boxed lunches, then requires them to provide the company tax ID for reimbursement purposes; when he does not buy lunch for employees, he still gladly charges expenses to the public account.

4. If the boss wants you to take a day off, you have to take it off. He simply assumes you did not work properly and later uses overtime hours to make up for it. He forces employees to take leave, first saying there is room for discussion, but in practice, whatever he says is what you have to do.

5. After delivering a finished product, if the boss thinks a different approach would be better that day, you have to do it that way. A few days later, when you continue working in the same manner, he will tell you: “You’re doing it wrong.” His logic is unclear, and he cannot fully communicate the direction of the work. Even after you organize everything for him, he still thinks he explained it clearly from the beginning.

6. No matter what file you submit, he first belittles the employee, then claims to be a professional—professional photographer, architect, designer, and so on; the list goes on. He does not properly review the materials or work presented by employees and keeps saying they have flaws, even though all of those supposed flaws are present in his own materials.

7. He acts submissively in front of business partners but constantly curses them behind their backs. In front of employees, he speaks badly about other employees, criticizes business partners, or talks negatively about his partner.

8. He pretends to be open-minded, but in reality hides prejudice, chauvinism, sexism, and old-fashioned attitudes behind the scenes.

9. On business trips, the boss habitually orders an extra boxed lunch and asks the partner organization to pay for it. When it comes to anything involving money, he saves wherever possible; it is an ugly display of greed.

10. He takes his whole family along on business trips as if they were vacations, and the children run wildly around meeting venues.

11. If the boss buys something for an employee, he acts as though it were an enormous favor, when in reality it is merely a 20-dollar snack.

12. The boss uses his phone while driving, causing the car to drift from side to side. He usually does not use his turn signal when changing lanes, and even when he does, he does not turn it off. He has absolutely no regard for the safety of the employees in the car.

Pros

The colleagues are around the same age, almost all in their twenties, so if you want to make friends, you can come and give it a try.

It’s very suitable for people without goals who just want to coast. You’ll be criticized no matter what, and you can achieve the greatest happiness simply by relaxing.

It’s very suitable for people without much financial pressure who have a small amount of savings. For those living paycheck to paycheck, the salary will arrive just before they starve to death.

It’s very suitable for people who aren’t afraid of exhaust fumes and noise. The office is right next to a road, and outside there is often the smell of smoke, vehicle exhaust, and noise. You can also hear other people chatting, allowing you to experience the power of abundance.

It’s very suitable for people who don’t understand the Labor Standards Act. The benefits and salary listed on 104 do not fully match the actual offerings.

It’s very suitable for people who are unemployed. Apart from the boss, there isn’t much pressure, and the work doesn’t require much thinking.

Cons

The boss is very arrogant and good at nitpicking. Even if you are ahead of schedule, taking leave will be viewed as a sign that you are not serious about your work. He will touch female employees’ bodies under the guise of demonstrations or encouragement.

The system is poor, with no benefits or protections. Almost all employees are officially employed under school projects. Being 1–30 minutes late results in a deduction of half an hour’s pay. Time from 5:30 to 6:00 is considered flexible overtime, and overtime pay only counts if you clock out after 6:00. Even if you applied for a full-time position, the probationary period is calculated by the hour: you only get paid when you work, and there is no half-pay sick leave or other benefits.

This month’s salary will not be paid until the 20th of next month, and salaries may also be paid late.

When the workday ends, and when you resign.

Cons

This company is truly something. The boss has an excellent public image, but once you enter the company, you discover that things are very different behind the scenes. The founder is someone who believes he will always be a teacher (in reality, he has not held teaching or professorial qualifications for a long time). In particular, you must not call him “the boss” at the company—you have to call him “Teacher,” or he will get very upset. There is too much to say, so it is listed point by point below.

(1) The stated flexible working hours (start work 0800–0830, leave work 0530–0600) are only for reference—complete nonsense. Even if you arrive at eight, the boss will not let you leave early. In fact, it is difficult to leave at six even if you arrive at 8:30. The boss also likes to pressure employees into starting work early, and of course overtime cannot be reported.

(2) Absolutely, absolutely do not let the boss know that you can drive; otherwise, you will be the permanent driver. The boss often likes to leave late and will demand that you drive faster so he will not be late, but you have to pay the tickets yourself.

(3) You have to take the boss’s children to school and pick them up after school.

(4) Toilet paper cannot be used to wipe your hands or face. The boss requires employees to bring towels, and employees’ towels will even be taken (by whom? Ask the heavens). Please do not bring anything too good. Let this be a lesson to us all.

(5) Under no circumstances should you leave anything valuable or personal at the company, especially on your desk after work. The company has habitual thieves. Many people’s belongings mysteriously disappear after one night or one weekend, then turn up at someone else’s desk. When questioned, that person can only say, “I don’t know how it ended up here,” or “Someone put it on my desk.”

(6) Don’t leave things on your desk. Do you think they’ll be safe in a drawer? Wrong~ The habitual thief goes through the drawers too, leaving everything in a complete mess. Anything they do not like the look of is thrown away, and anything valuable is taken. The next day, they still pretend nothing happened. Truly magical! The company has security systems and cameras, but even those cannot stop this thief—a real reincarnation of Liao Tianding.

(7) Speaking of cameras, the boss installed two security cameras in the ceiling, but they could not show what the employees were doing, so he directly bought a Xiaomi security camera and placed it near the employees, pointed at them, saying it was for a research project.

(8) You have to clock in four times a day (using the time clock): once when you arrive, once before the lunch break, once when the afternoon break ends, and once when you leave. If you miss “even one” clock-in, the company thanks you for donating NT$50; the amount accumulates accordingly.

(9) Reporting business trips is extremely troublesome. There are several steps in total: first, fill out the company’s extremely long, self-made Google Form; second, post on the company’s public Facebook page that you are going on a business trip, where you are going, and who is going; third, if the business trip includes coming to the company, you still have to clock in—how cute. Otherwise, the company will once again thank you for your donation. These steps may have to be repeated many times each month. If you fail to complete even one step for a single business trip, the NT$500 perfect-attendance bonus is gone, and your salary may even be deducted. Truly virtuous.

(10) Toilet paper is not allowed on your desk (the boss will scold you directly), and fans cannot be moved around freely (the boss will put all the fans at your station for no apparent reason).

(11) Since the office is on the first floor, motorcycles and cars constantly pass by and it is extremely noisy. You get to breathe in exhaust for free, and there is also a lot of dust and sand (it would not be surprising to find a pyramid forming on your desk).

(12) The water dispenser is Pandora’s box. Do not open or clean it unless necessary; the inside is terrifying. Previously, the company cleaned it for the first time in nearly three years. The scale and impurities accumulated inside were so thick that they blocked the outlet and caused a short circuit. It took three hours of cleaning and two trips for repairs before it worked again. That water dispenser is truly legendary.

(13) Employees are expected to stay behind “voluntarily” to take out the trash. The garbage truck does not arrive until 6:30. If nobody takes out the trash, the boss gets upset and says, “This is everyone’s home—why doesn’t everyone do it automatically?” He then starts talking about his great achievements, such as cleaning the toilets and taking out the trash.

Cons

There is nothing here

No year-end banquet, only one pomelo per person at the Mid-Autumn Festival, donated by someone else

No good environment; occasionally you even have to be the housekeeper and sweep the floor

No music, only one boss talking incessantly all day

No affection, because the boss loves badmouthing others in front of you

No trust, because I heard all the company's profits go into a certain person's pocket

No doubt—you'll only doubt why you're wasting your life here

No friendliness; being yelled at, scolded, and exploited is your daily routine

No achievement, because your accomplishments are all credited to a certain person

No future, because your CEO is an expert at making grand promises

No security; there is remote monitoring on the refrigerator, watching your every move at any time

No sharing, only uneaten leftovers that you're asked to take home

There is still much more to add above; all passersby are welcome to dismount and offer their guidance.

Pros

I really can't think of anything~

Cons

If you don't mind that the boss likes to bully the weak (docks the wages of university student part-timers),

verbally abuses people (you'll be subjected to strings of profanity),

is stingy (makes employees drive back and forth five times just to get the drive-thru price),

likes to pass gas loudly (the boss loves farting in public),

has no respect for personal space (your belongings at your seat often mysteriously disappear or are rummaged through),

going back on their word (what happened to the promised year-end bonus? What happened to the promised raise?),

then your tolerance for being treated like a servant must be off the charts. Welcome to submit your résumé to this company.

The interview is one thing,

and the actual job is another.

The boss is accustomed to making grand promises and overstating everything,

but in the end, he can't deliver, leaving employees exhausted.

Then, after using people up, he says he can't afford to pay their salary

and tells them to leave.......

The boss is not friendly toward his employees at all.

How can this be a friendly company? Fortunately, the colleagues are very nice.

There is no such thing as a two-day weekend; you have to deal with problems at any time.

The boss is an academic (and academics are proud).

He does everything entirely according to his own wishes.

It is difficult to get anything done if you do not go along with him.

But if you do follow his wishes and something goes wrong,

he will turn around and blame you for it..

He pretends to be generous, but is actually extremely stingy.

This is truly an unbelievably awful company,

really terrible..

You have to bring your own computer

There is no microwave and no rice steamer

The work environment is basically completely open; the downside is that it’s very noisy

You have to clean the environment yourself

You can’t keep toilet paper on your own desk

For those considering coming, take this as a reference

It’s apparently fine for requirements to be changed over and over—even when there’s a demo the next day.

Although work hours are estimated,

shortening the estimated hours is no big deal.

It clearly requires overtime to complete,

but overtime cannot be reported.

It still has to be completed on schedule.

Exhaust employees’ networks to the fullest, negotiate salaries lower than what they actually take home, and have a boss who considers giving you money a favor. If there’s a way to save, they will—always at the employees’ expense.
