Pros

The interview felt like a casual chat.

Cons

The policies felt very vague. They explained things unclearly but kept asking whether you understood.... It’s a bag shop, and the pay is minimum wage. When I first joined, they didn’t provide labor and health insurance.

Pros

You can learn about many types of bags, belts, suitcases, and more while working. You’ll learn how to manage incoming goods, check inventory, and manage stock, and you can interact directly with customers.

Cons

There is no labor or health insurance. Only after joining were employees told that the labor and health insurance would be handled through a subsidy arrangement, requiring them to find and enroll in a labor union plan themselves. You may be scheduled to work more than seven consecutive days; the company does not care how many days in a row you work.

There is no break during the day. The two-hour break mentioned in the interview was nonsense. The stated business hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. are also misleading: you have to start work at 9:30 a.m., there is no overtime pay, and you are expected to work the entire shift. The end time is not fixed either. If customers have not finished browsing, you cannot do any closing work.

They call it a shift-based system, but in reality the company decides when you take time off. You can swap days off with coworkers, but approval is not guaranteed.

The company may promote you by one level and give you two additional days off, but your perfect-attendance bonus is cut in half. They say that since you have already been given extra days off, you do not need to receive as much attendance bonus.
