Also, after learning that I had been in China for a long time, he kept saying that he had a lot of influence among Taiwanese businesspeople, but after asking around, I hadn't heard of anyone surnamed Sun with that kind of influence. Sigh. If it weren't for the stability of the apparel industry in China, I would have returned to Taiwan out of boredom.
