Interview process:
(The work primarily involves e-commerce.)
The office was on the second floor of a mixed-use residential and commercial building, with approximately 10 people in the office. After I entered, I was taken to a small room to fill out basic information and complete a simple aptitude test. After finishing, the interview began with a self-introduction. The interviewer was fairly polite at first, but their attitude became worse later on. They first asked roughly what my previous work involved. After I answered, they began commenting on each item one by one, saying things like: “You stayed at your previous job for too long, didn’t you!?” “I feel that none of your skills are specialized; you only know about 70% of each one.” “It’ll be very difficult for you to find a job like this...” and similar comments. They kept making sarcastic remarks while interviewing me, which made the interview extremely unpleasant.
They said this position was more focused on e-commerce. They already had specialists for distribution channels, design, customer service, and video, and had additionally opened an e-commerce position. It seemed that what they needed was a new hire who could work independently and be ready to start immediately. They also mentioned that there would be a second interview later. I ultimately declined.
--------------------------------
This interview left me quite unhappy. They commented on my work experience and asked some questions that I did not know how to answer. I showed them my graphic design work and told them about my previous job responsibilities, but they still expressed doubt about whether I was actually capable of handling the position.
