4. The company prides itself on being open year-round, so you can work lots of overtime and feel very fulfilled. Management really likes employees who have nothing going on on weekend evenings.
5. The company has a view outside the windows (but there’s no time to look at it).
Although the website says it’s a 14-year-old company, the way it operates is more like a startup that’s only 1–2 years old. (The only benefit is +2 days of annual leave; everything else is zero.)
It feels like anyone who stays for a year is already considered top-level senior staff. In fact, the turnover rate is quite high for a company of this size.
After the company makes decision A, it doesn’t think through the subsequent planning, such as risk assessment, and so on. Simply put, it takes a short-term approach, lol.
There are no meetings, lol—it’s always one-way, top-down written instructions. Employees often end up saying, “Huh? I also don’t know why the company decided that way before, but that’s how they used to do it.” (Is thinking really that difficult? -.-)
Overall, the work atmosphere is pretty good. Highly recommended for fresh graduates who want to cultivate their patience at work and don’t want to think too much. Thumbs up.
1. The company is located near MRT Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station, with plenty of good food nearby.
2. The company office uses full-length transparent glass walls, making it feel bright and comfortable.
3. The boss and his wife seem fairly young. Although the boss did not say anything during the interview, his wife was cheerful and talkative. The questions she asked during the interview were also quite insightful, aiming to understand the job applicant and their use of and familiarity with e-commerce. Overall, the atmosphere at the company seemed quite lively.
4. The interfaces of the websites operated by the company are quite clean and detailed.
After the interview, I was told that I would be notified within two weeks, but there was no further news. However, this is quite common after interviews, so it is actually not a big deal and does not really count as a shortcoming. Best wishes to those working at the company.
