Cons

The pay for store staff always follows the minimum wage required by the Labor Standards Act, and the commission-based bonuses are pitifully low.

If you don’t meet the targets, you basically receive only a small commission. Each month, your base salary plus bonuses doesn’t exceed NT$30,000. They also compare the performance of high-traffic locations with that of less popular locations every time. There are no bonuses for the three major traditional holidays, no double pay on certain holidays, almost no year-end party, and basically no benefits.

The pay is low enough as it is, but the company is constantly severely understocked, so there is practically nothing to sell.

Even when you are lucky enough to receive popular products, the product quality is inconsistent and keeps declining. Customers often complain because of quality issues, but the company never improves. (The warehouse quality-control staff are emotionally exhausted.)

Whenever the company holds an event, store staff are always the last to find out. We even have to check the official website ourselves to discover that an event is being held.

Most importantly, store staff are not only responsible for sales; they also have to handle a pile of tasks for the company’s back office.

The company does not fill vacancies when people leave, so one person usually has to take on several roles. The most outrageous case I have heard of was a poor back-office employee handling sales, accounting, warehousing, e-commerce, and store operations all at once.

In short, if you want to work in sales, the back office, or warehousing, I recommend not joining this family-run company. (It is genuinely exhausting.)

The suggestions from frontline employees are almost never heard by management. They only keep thinking about driving down costs and prices, without caring about quality. They exploit the workforce and leave everyone exhausted and sick.
