Pros

The salary is very high for someone entering the workforce.

There is an underground parking space available.

The building’s shared facilities are quite new.

Cons

The manager does not know how to lead people.

As soon as I started, I was told to do grunt work and miscellaneous chores.

I had to organize a huge amount of stuff (and I mean a truly huge pile of documents).

The company’s managers could not even give me a clear answer about which compartments in the cabinets the documents should be placed in.

As a result, I and the other new hires from my intake spent nearly half a month doing unpaid busywork.

By the time we finally finished organizing those unbearably heavy paper documents, about a month and a half had already passed.

During that time, I did not even have a computer at my desk.

I had absolutely no opportunity to do any of the work a legal affairs employee is supposed to do.

The manager finally agreed to start training me, but since it was my first time handling the work and the materials were disorganized, I made three or four mistakes.

Then one day, I was called in for a meeting and dismissed on the spot.

Overall, the office atmosphere was strange, and the work environment was cramped, with no personal privacy whatsoever.

There was no friendliness toward new employees at all.

The microwave was placed right next to you.

At lunchtime, all you could hear was its constant buzzing.

There were files that could never be finished scanning, a multifunction printer that kept jamming, and mountains of worn-out debt certificates.

From what I saw, overtime seemed to be the norm for the more senior employees.

Traffic in the area was also easily congested and chaotic.

At lunchtime, the only option was to eat at the convenience store downstairs.

On top of all this, considering that Xizhi is such a terrible place and its laughable housing prices, those relocating north for work should think twice.
