1. Family-owned business with many problems
2. The boss’s wife will tell you that there is overtime pay and a phone allowance, but neither exists.
3. There is a fixed schedule every week, but when there is a long holiday, they act as if it is the employees’ fault and add work scheduled for days off.
4. The boss also forces you to learn how to use the coffee machine, and insists on teaching you after work (the important point is, there is no overtime pay!)
5. I strongly advise against joining this company
Unlimited brewed beverages; ability to distinguish good coffee beans from bad ones
There is no free lunch provided; meals are only provided for free when working overtime. As for the overtime pay calculation, there is a reason records of excessive overtime are reported. Upper management’s arrangements for order shipment priorities change from morning to evening. If production-line operators are short-staffed or take leave, employees in other positions are sent down to help on the production line. Some colleagues are difficult to get along with, while those with connections to the family-owned business face no problems.
Employees can purchase equipment or products at a relatively lower staff price.
All the typical problems of a family-run business are here: store employees are treated like servants, and if you leave work late, there is no overtime pay. They may even nag you to arrive five minutes early or make it impossible to leave on time (night shifts are okay). Sales staff are expected to fill in as delivery drivers and make deliveries when the driver is on leave. Never mind the inexplicable rules imposed by the owner’s family—even veteran employees also impose all kinds of unwritten rules. I strongly recommend that even if you’re short of money and temporarily unable to find a job, you should not join this company.
