和通建設股份有限公司
Pros

Very relaxed—so relaxed that you can watch videos and play mobile games every day. A great place to coast into retirement.

Cons

There are three employees in the Taipei office. After joining the company, no one will train you because everyone has resigned. When you first join, they will tell you to look through presentations and meeting minutes; after that, you will have absolutely nothing to do and will just scroll on your phone. The construction boss is an emotional person—if they take a dislike to you, they will tell you not to come in the next day. That is how the Taipei supervisor ended up leaving, and they promoted a driver with no office experience or management experience to be your direct supervisor. He speaks as if words cost money and never tells you anything. Every day is spent fooling around at work and waiting to go home; there is only a little work at the end of the month (submitting expense claims). You might think that sounds great—and it is true that every day is very relaxing—but your incompetent supervisor will tell people at the Tainan headquarters that you are useless, cannot manage anything, refuse to do tasks when asked, and are idle every day without anyone knowing what you are doing. He will join forces with people at the Tainan headquarters to say that you are absolutely terrible. Remember how I said at the beginning that this incompetent driver speaks as if words cost money and never tells you anything? This guy never assigned you anything at all, but he tells the people in Tainan that you are hopeless and asks why no one is keeping an eye on you. To be honest, the people in Tainan already disliked you as soon as you joined this company. They told the previous supervisor, who was forced out, that the Taipei administrative staff did not “when in Rome, do as the Romans do.” I was also completely confused—what does “when in Rome, do as the Romans do” even mean? In short, although this company has a presence in Taipei, it operates on a completely hands-off basis. Everyone at the Tainan headquarters looks down their noses at others, and each person thinks they are superior simply because they joined the company earlier than you. They speak with absolutely no courtesy. If you want to coast into retirement and do not mind dealing with these vulgar people, you are very welcome.
