1. The boss is very energetic
1. At the time, there was no clocking in and no overtime pay. Regardless of the position, everyone was told they were on a responsibility-based system. If assistance was needed for a livestream at night, some colleagues had to work overtime... (I'm not sure about the situation now, haha—I left some time ago.)
2. The boss had no direction in their work (though I suppose many bosses are like that). Once, they even wanted to change the color of the company's logo (CIS seems not to count for much at this company...)
One of their most frequently used catchphrases was “I think” XD, so there was no need to persuade them with data, because they had their own “I think” theory.
3. As for the HR department's reputation, I have no comment. Previously, when colleagues supported a company event on a holiday, HR asked whether they should be compensated with compensatory leave or overtime pay. In the end, colleagues still had to remind HR to pay them, and the payment was delayed for two months... (The compensatory leave was granted.)
Also, when a vendor previously sent us mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, HR actually said, “Why did they put the vendor's name on them? Otherwise, were you planning to send them on to someone else?” Anyway, there are many things that can make everyone feel that HR is working very hard on their KPI (saving money).
3. If you helped with a livestream at night, you were also compensated with compensatory leave by the hour, and you had to use it within two or three months. There were many restrictions.
(In short, HR was really exasperating...)
If you're fortunate enough to work at Delicious Life, make sure to find a way to survive. Don't get on HR's bad side.
