Instead, year-end prizes are raffled off at the year-end banquet together with employees from other companies. However, there are gifts for the three major traditional holidays. Public holidays are taken off, and the company has very few employees. Most employees are away from the office for extended periods. The manager gives employees a high degree of flexibility when requesting leave (although that manager is preparing to resign). Annual leave is provided only in accordance with the Labor Standards Act, with no additional days granted.
There may be workplace political drama in some departments, so be careful. You need to be cautious in your words and actions when dealing with others. Salaries are low, each person has to handle multiple tasks, and there is little room for salary increases. Also note that this is a shared office, so people from other companies may observe what you are doing and even interfere to the extent of commenting on things such as spending too long in the restroom.
