Pros

The turnover rate is very high, so you can keep meeting new people—but you may not even have time to remember their names before they leave.

Cons

1. There are cameras everywhere. Even when the boss and the boss’s wife aren’t at work, they can still see whether you’re slacking off. Be very careful about chatting outside of break times, as it can easily be mistaken for slacking off.

2. If you spend too long in the restroom, it may be mistaken for slacking off. Please don’t stay in the restroom too long because of a stomachache while at work.

3. According to the company culture, employees who resign usually don’t have to come in starting the day after they resign. Being allowed to stay a few extra days is already very generous, so don’t try to negotiate—they will threaten you. It’s best to record the conversation.

4. When an employee intends to resign, accounting will settle the score with you afterward. If the company suffers losses, they will deduct them from your salary. Be very careful not to make mistakes. If you do make one, you should be aware that when you resign, they may ask you to pay the money back.

5. Other than in the sales department, don’t expect a salary increase just because you perform well. It’s a fixed salary, so don’t get your hopes up. The grand promises made during the interview should be taken with a grain of salt.

6. You often have to perform worship rituals. You need to set them up and carry them out at least once or twice a month—do it properly and completely.

Pros

01 The boss accepts different voices and opinions through positive communication, and values productive employees.

02 There is a small perfect-attendance bonus for perfect attendance.

03 If you get hungry, there is a snack cabinet and a vending machine where every drink costs NT$10.

04 Birthday celebrations and group meals are held regularly (once every 2–3 months).

05 There is an employee welfare committee that discusses employee trips, group-meal venues, and gift items for the three major festivals.

06 There is not much overtime, and reasonable leave requests are never rejected.

07 The company is located in an industrial area with more dust, so it has many air purifiers and hires cleaners to clean and disinfect every day.

08 Parking is convenient, and there is no additional parking fee.

09 The work environment is bright, and the office is well ventilated.

10 There are employee training courses, providing opportunities to improve your professional skills.

11 The department I work in has a lot of variety, so there is no time to browse the internet or stare blankly at your phone.

12 The company as a whole is growing positively; salary increases are possible when the company makes money.

13 If you like cars, there is a good chance you will see different cars appearing at the company.

Cons

01 Being one minute late results in one hour’s pay being deducted; being one minute late means you can take an hour off without working. Forgetting to clock in or out once incurs a NT$100 fine; once the fines accumulated by employees across the company reach a certain amount, drinks are ordered with the money.

02 The company is located in Taishan Industrial Park, far from the city center. Public transportation is limited, and it is still some distance from the Airport MRT; if you drive fast, pay attention to safety.

03 The work is stressful and there are many tasks. The industry changes quickly, so you need to react flexibly and act swiftly.

04 “Most” colleagues are willing to share their experience and help with work. The attitude is “I won’t offend anyone if no one offends me”; it is best to be cautious.

05 In summer, areas without air conditioning get very hot, although the main office areas have air conditioning.

06 Employees take turns serving as the person on duty. You do it about once every month and a half; when someone rings the doorbell, you have to help open the door, which is very disruptive when you are busy.

07 You have the right not to participate in company activities, but you still have to pay NT$500 in welfare fees every month.

08 Small and medium-sized enterprises are not like large companies: promotion paths and many institutional procedures are still unclear and need to be planned over time together with experienced people. You have to work to obtain benefits yourself; no one from outside will automatically know how hard you work and adjust things for you.

09 The desks are made of black glass and need to be wiped almost every day; otherwise, they look greasy and dirty.

10 The boss and his wife are germaphobes. After using work-related items in common areas, you must put them away immediately. Remember to throw away trash in the pantry, and do not eat strong-smelling food in the office area.

Pros

Went for an interview today; sharing a brief summary below:

Pros:

1. The first floor is filled with sports cars and performance cars. For people who like cars, it creates a sense of familiarity.

2. Everything in the company vending machines costs NT$10, which is pretty good.

3. The office environment is quite good, but there are no partitions. It is an open-plan office environment, which I find acceptable.

4. The basic year-end bonus is one month’s salary. For new employees, it is calculated proportionally based on the number of days worked after joining.

Regarding the work:

1. Each person is responsible for NT$3 million in monthly sales, with most customers located in Europe and the United States.

2. Air freight is used more often, while sea freight is used less frequently.

3. Performance in 2019 grew compared with 2018, so it appears to be a profitable company.

Cons

Cons:

I only attended the interview and did not start working there, so for the drawbacks, you can refer to what the previous reviewer said above.
