Pros

Baijia Asia-Pacific Realty is a company mixed into a residential apartment building. The owner has no office and occupies the community’s shared meeting space, internet, electricity, and air conditioning, all provided by the residents. They can’t be driven out, and during working hours, employees also have to endure the strange looks of residents passing by. It feels quite bizarre. Since the owner of Baijia wants to run a company, yet doesn’t even have a decent office, think about it: would such a penny-pinching boss treat employees well?

Cons

Prepare a proper office so that employees can devote themselves fully to making money for the boss.

Pros

Looks very wealthy

Cons

The entire company’s interior is very crude. As soon as you arrive, they don’t say anything and immediately tell you to fill out a questionnaire on your phone. Someone nearby is talking about how to sell successfully—it’s very strange.

Pros

As long as you maintain a good relationship with your supervisor and don’t make any major mistakes, you can live comfortably.

Cons

1. The uniform costs 9,500, the polo shirt costs 500, and the tie costs 200—and they are all very ugly.

2. There are many fines: fines for eating, being late, and wearing clothing or shoes that do not meet the requirements.

3. During lunch breaks, employees are prohibited from eating boxed lunches in the office; they may only eat light meals.

4. There is a strong culture of reporting on others, as follows:

4-1. The general manager welcomes everyone to contact him directly via LINE about any issues, believing this allows people to report unfair or unjust behavior. As a result, many people report on others directly.

4-2. There is an Asia-Pacific suggestion meeting every month, where everyone submits anonymous letters that are read aloud during the meeting. Consequently, there are many instances of defamation. If you are unpopular or your subordinates dislike you, you are in serious trouble.

5. Some employees who make mistakes are required to apologize publicly; depending on the circumstances, the apology may also be forwarded on LINE.

Pros

The company has an attractive storefront, several overseas branches, and many celebrities have invested in the company's offerings. It should be a fairly profitable company.

Cons

Because I did not stay at the company for very long, I can only provide a brief overview of some aspects.

People considering interviewing at this company are advised to consider whether it is suitable for them and assess whether their financial situation is sufficient to bear the costs.

Many expenses must be paid out of pocket.

On the first day, upon reporting for work and participating in the company's training, you must pay NT$500 (refunded upon completion of the training).

1. You must purchase the company's uniform (NT$9,500).

2. You must join the boss's labor union: NT$2,500 membership fee and NT$5,000 annual fee.

3. You must pay a rental fee to use the company's computer: NT$520 for the monitor and NT$965 for the computer tower.

Even if you bring your own laptop, you still have to pay the company NT$300 for maintenance and usage fees.

The above fees are mandatory. In addition, there are countless penalty mechanisms.

You will be fined for eating breakfast at the company, putting on makeup, leaving the computer on after work, smoking at the entrance downstairs, and failing to address senior colleagues with honorifics, among other things.

In addition, this company is the service office of Taipei City Councilor Chung Hsiao-ping. After work, employees often make telephone calls interviewing Kuomintang members, such as opinion polls for the Kuomintang chairperson election.

That's about it.

Pros

I haven’t been with the company for very long, but so far I think it’s pretty good, and I can leave work on time.

My colleagues are quite friendly, and the company also lets me attend courses on overseas investment through its training department.

If I were a little better at financial planning, being the company’s international distribution agent should be quite lucrative.

Cons

However, to maintain a consistent image,

the company asked me to buy a tie and a company polo shirt as soon as I joined.

It would be better if the company covered the cost.
