Pros

1. The environment is beautiful

2. Some branches have cats or dogs keeping you company while you work

3. Part-time is still okay, but absolutely do not take a full-time position

Cons

1. When I first started, I didn't even have labor and health insurance, and was told to find a professional union and insure myself; don't even think about overtime pay or compensatory leave. The boss would only say that if you dared to quibble with him about this, you'd better watch yourself.

In short, he has no regard for the Labor Standards Act.

2. There is a senior teacher next to the boss who constantly fawns over him and acts as the boss's henchman to target employees; her obsequious and disgusting demeanor is extreme.

3. The boss has anger-management issues and likes to call employees over to stand in a row in front of him so he can humiliate and berate them.

4. The employment contract violates the law. At the time, it even specifically included a punitive clause threatening employees that they could not spread anything damaging to the company's reputation after resigning.

You dare mistreat employees, and I dare talk about it.

5. Full-time teachers are paid extremely low hourly rates. The company also provides virtually no training, yet takes a very large cut.
