This is truly the worst company I have worked for. If I do not write this to warn job seekers, I would feel guilty.
It claims to be a startup, but it was established seven years ago and still has not made any money. It still has the nerve to call itself a startup. I do not know what the investors think of letting you operate this way.....
Most of the people there are from the same in-group, and the current person in charge is Mr. Whitehead. Anyone who asks around will know that the rumors and reputation are both very bad. The original investors recruited outstanding people from various fields hoping to accomplish something, but little did they know that internal infighting allowed Mr. Whitehead to successfully drive the others away, leaving the like-minded group to comfort one another. They delusionally hope to sell their products to Company T and Company A. Every day, Mr. Whitehead does nothing but hold meeting after meeting because he does not know how to proceed. He uses these meetings to belittle everyone, and uses his position and seniority to bully anyone he dislikes. For example: “This is very low-level,” “This is very basic,” “You should figure it out yourselves,” “The company pays you—are you here to freeload off your salary?”—along with profanity and other verbal fillers. “You’re so capable~ Then tell us how to solve it.” At this point, he just goes around in circles. Mr. Whitehead says, “I’m very busy. You need to do your jobs properly yourselves. I shouldn’t have to worry about this.” To put it bluntly, isn’t this just covering up his own incompetence?! All he does all day is make his presence known in group chats. He does not understand company operations or management at all. I really feel it is a waste of the investors’ money.
Overall, most people are easy to get along with, except for Mr. Whitehead and his like-minded group. However, I genuinely do not recommend trying this company, because Mr. Whitehead rejects 100% of people. So why waste your time? If you are considering going to an interview, do yourself a favor and do not put yourself through it.
