Read the community guidelinesThe interviewer was very friendly.
At first, they asked questions based on my résumé, such as my previous experience. At the end, I had to introduce myself in English; the rest of the interview was conducted in Chinese.
It seems that the benefits at an American company would be good, but they only comply with the Labor Standards Act, and the salary is just average. The position is under a responsibility-based system.
The interviewer carefully reviews your résumé and asks detailed questions about your education and work experience, without asking stupid questions about your family, marital status, or the like.
They can also nitpick about being close to middle age. I wish this younger interviewer the best and hope they are treated just as harshly in the future. Other than asking for a self-introduction in English at the beginning, the entire interview was conducted in Chinese. Although it looks like a foreign company and places a strong emphasis on English proficiency, the salary range is as low as the range listed on the website and comparable to that of a local company. They also made it clear that the role is based on a responsibility system with no overtime pay, and that the Taiwan branch has no sales operations; the career prospects for other positions are easy to imagine. Just treat it as an opportunity to have a chat.
