The commute and work environment were fairly good, the air conditioning was very cold, and overtime was not usually necessary, though it was occasionally required.
There were inevitably issues with senior employees acting arrogantly and competing for the boss’s favor. There was no year-end bonus; instead, they would pay you your monthly salary in cash. There were no year-end or spring banquets or other company dinners. We would often receive health supplements that could not be sold or were leftover, some of which were expired, although the nutritionist said they were safe to eat.
