Driven by strong jealousy, they regard hardworking and conscientious newcomers whose work does not conflict with theirs as threats and thorns in their sides, rationalizing their reasons for bullying you!
The warehouse team leader likes to make things difficult for related departments and files complaints with higher-ups whenever there is a disagreement. Regarding bullying, upper-level managers take no action and instead view it as training. More than 70% of the senior managers have been there for a long time, while the remaining 30% are parachuted-in personnel. The long-timers around you are very good at pushing work onto newcomers. The pay is low, the workload is heavy, and there is no clear promotion path—a typical case of “stay in the theater long enough and the stage is yours.” It suits people who are very good at currying favor with managers and colleagues who have no self-respect.
