Read the community guidelines1. Part-time workers won’t have their pay deducted for certain rule violations.
Full-time employees will—for example, forgetting to remove their shoe covers when leaving the production-line area incurs a NT$100 fine.
2. You don’t really need to use your brain much; just use your hands.
3. There is overtime pay, with extra bonuses. On typhoon days, lots of people compete to come in to work.
3. There are NG biscuits available to grab at a discount.
1. Rushing to fulfill orders for Mid-Autumn Festival gift pastries is extremely exhausting. There is overtime at night and on holidays; apart from sleeping, you’re at home. (This was before the one-fixed-day-off-and-one-flexible-rest-day policy.)
2. You may develop occupational illnesses, such as wrist and lower-back problems.
3. It depends on whether the supervisor is a good person. When the plant manager comes, you need to work seriously.
Very punctual working hours.
A welfare fund is deducted, but there are employee trips, and gift vouchers are issued for May Day and birthdays. These can be used to purchase company products at employee prices, but they have a validity period.
There are gifts of approximately 1,000–2,000 for each of the three traditional festivals.
The year-end bonus is only about one month of base salary, excluding additional pay and allowances (although some senior employees have received half a month’s salary).
Not recommended. I have already resigned. The office has a high turnover rate; by the time I left, most of the department’s business contacts had already been replaced once.
It is easy to be hired as a business assistant but end up doing business-related work.
The promised bonuses/allowances are paid late. They are eventually paid, but they should have been paid on time in the first place.
At present, the company feels very chaotic internally, and I cannot see a future there. Within the department, I did not see any outstanding manager worth following (because they had also resigned).
