It doesn't really count as a drawback; overall, it was a smooth interview. I interviewed for a beauty consultant position at Guerlain. The supervisor arranged the interview location in advance by text message, and the interview was conducted directly at their counter. First, I filled out an internal résumé form for the company. After I finished, I was asked to introduce myself, and then the supervisor asked about things she wanted to know, including how I would describe my personality and my previous work experience.
As for the key points regarding salary and the leave system, during the first three-month probationary period, the salary was around NT$21,000, plus a guaranteed bonus of NT$2,000. After the probationary period, the base salary returned to NT$21,000, with 1% of individual sales and 2% of team sales. Once the unit bonus targets were achieved, the commission rates were 100%, 120%, or 140%.
Regarding leave, there are four months a year with eight days off, and nine days off in the other months. There are four major promotional periods each year, and the sales pressure is quite high. She said that many young people cannot withstand the pressure and end up resigning. The usual duties include calling customers and participating in the company's internal training. The supervisor said that the company's benefits system is quite comprehensive, which is why most of the people who stay are long-term employees. The interview lasted about 20 minutes. If you pass the initial interview, you will be notified within a week; if you do not pass, they will also let you know. Overall, it was a very smooth interview, with no particular good or bad points.
The compensation is pretty good. As long as you can generate sales, the salary averages around 4,000 more.
