Pros

1. Small-company freedom; you need to be self-disciplined and manage your work schedule independently.

2. Working hours are 9:15–18:00, with a lunch break from 12:00–13:30 (one and a half hours), which is very generous.

3. There are many restaurants and snack options near the city center.

4. Suitable for people who want a relaxed work environment; overtime is rarely required (there is no overtime pay, and everyone leaves work very punctually).

5. The boss occasionally treats everyone to drinks or shares fruit and food sent by her friends and family with the employees.

Cons

1. A common issue in small companies: one person has to handle quite a wide range of duties (marketing + customer service + social media management + occasionally helping the boss sell second-hand furniture, greeting customers during lunch breaks, and handling some account reconciliation, which is normally an accounting task). Put nicely, it is said that young people should gain more experience; in reality, they simply want to hire an all-rounder for a single salary.

2. Limited growth potential. The boss paints a very ambitious picture, but in reality, the company is small in scale, and things are often described more optimistically than they are.

3. Raises are unlikely, and the starting salary is also kept low by the boss. They hope to hire high-value employees for as little money as possible.

4. There is a birthday cash gift. Bonuses for the three major holidays are not guaranteed and depend on the company’s operating performance. The year-end bonus may be less than one month’s salary.

5. There are no mid-level managers, so the main decision-making authority lies with the boss. Some employees are older, giving the impression that they are simply waiting for retirement.
