The atmosphere among colleagues and between colleagues and the boss is very oppressive; you need to know how to flatter people.
Clearly very traditional and conservative, yet presents itself as very open-minded.
The company is huge!?
I interviewed with the boss, Simon, and we had a very pleasant two-hour conversation.
I received a verbal offer on the spot, and we exchanged business cards and added each other on LINE.
After returning home, I submitted my resignation to my current company and told the boss when I would be available to start.
During that time, I did not receive an offer letter. When I asked via LINE, the message was read but left unanswered.
The next day, HR called to say that due to changes in the company’s organizational structure, the position was temporarily no longer needed, so they could not issue me an offer letter. However, during the interview, the boss had said that the position was needed precisely because of organizational changes. I also told HR that I had received a verbal offer from the boss during the interview, leaving HR at a loss and able only to repeatedly apologize to me.
I contacted the boss again via LINE, saying that I had just received a call from HR and wanted to understand whether there had been some miscommunication.
The boss read the message and ignored it again. This is the kind of management a company’s boss has—such a lack of respect for people surely means employees would not be respected much either.
I even resigned early because of this, which left me with a gap between jobs.
The junior managers and employees below are generally young and open to change. They also place relatively special emphasis on written copy and content.
After interviewing with the female marketing manager, my overall impression of this place changed considerably. She was self-important, and the questions she asked were extremely disrespectful to the interviewee. Judging solely from this manager, it's no wonder the marketing approach can never catch up with other companies offering similar products...
Very good at pushing you hard; if you need to work quickly, you won’t even see their taillights.
Plans for activities keep changing; information is asymmetrical.
The boss really respects the opinions of capable people. Although they have a fairly fiery temper, the benefits and respect that should be provided are still there.
