Pros

The benefits are just average.

Cons

After the interview, I realized that this company has quite a lot of problems.

Although asking questions is a good thing, they were overly demanding.

To be honest, the interview experience was not very good.

If you’re just applying to be a foot soldier and do deliveries, that would actually be better.

In a word, no wonder they’re short-staffed.

Pros

The overtime pay and bonuses for the three major holidays required by the Labor Standards Act are provided.

Cons

1. Don’t be tricked into joining a subsidiary of Chunghwa Telecom. The advantages mentioned above are provided, but there aren’t many other benefits.

2. Working hours: Sometimes you have to arrive before 5:00 a.m. and then head out for assignments. In practice, this happens several times a week, not just once.

3. There are one-sided contractual clauses. The company address and work location were intentionally not clearly stated in the job posting.

Pros

The overtime pay and bonuses for the three major holidays required by the Labor Standards Act are provided.

Cons

1. At work, the results of meetings held by supervisors are often never communicated to those below them. They only tell their subordinates when the situation becomes urgent.

2. Don’t be fooled into joining a subsidiary of Chunghwa Telecom. The advantages mentioned above—having these benefits—are true, but there aren’t many other benefits.

3. The workload is unevenly distributed: some people have a lot to do, while others have nothing to do.

4. The company has no established systems.

Pros

1. Basically, you get most of what you should. The standard benefits, such as the three major holiday bonuses, are provided. However, please note that, as is the case at most major companies nowadays, when overtime occurs, you will be asked to handle it by taking compensatory leave. The same applies here.

2. The company operates right at the edge of the Labor Standards Act. It will not easily break the law in order to preserve its corporate image.

3. If you do not want to work long term and want to self-study in your spare time, this is a job you can seriously consider. However, if you want to use work to confirm and develop your professional knowledge, this job is absolutely not suitable for you.

4. If you want to learn about and experience big-company culture and develop your EQ and workplace emotional intelligence for future jobs, this is an excellent job.

5. This job is more suitable for people who are highly capable of handling miscellaneous tasks. Professional skills are not particularly necessary. Although you will be required to have a certain level of ability and relevant experience when you join, those who want to experience the telecommunications industry can join and see what it is like.

Cons

First, let me state that the drawbacks depend heavily on the position applied for; they absolutely do not apply to every position. I worked rotating shifts in a server room, so please read through the drawbacks and judge for yourself how frightening this job can be.

Because there are not many people, it is easy to identify me, and I understand that I may receive a phone call afterward. However, everything I say below is factual.

If this is deleted or disappears... please understand that it is because of certain adult reasons.

After all, online reviews often disappear.

1. Everything about the work content is decided by the company

The job duties described during your interview are just talk. The interviewer actually will not know all of your duties, and there is no need for them to know, because of confidentiality obligations. Please note that so-called “tasks assigned by the supervisor” may mean that, under Project A, you are asked to take care of Projects B and C as well, because what matters most is that “everything is arranged according to the client’s requirements.”

2. Because the company works in coordination with clients, there are one-sided clauses

“ If the client considers you unsuitable, they will request a replacement.” This is not limited to the probationary period. The reasons can be very broad. Even a single action during your break at work could become a reason for the company to target you. They will not care if the work makes you feel unable to trust the job. If your physical and mental condition leads you to browse job sites and prepare for the worst, the main reason is that you are considered unsuitable. If this happens, do not hesitate—leave immediately, because you will be noticed right away.

3. “Rotating shifts” are not actually rotating shifts; they are a scheduling system involving overnight shifts, and staffing is extremely tight

The shifts may involve working five days, taking one day off, then working six days and taking one day off. This is a minor issue and relatively easy; if your scheduled day off falls on a workday according to the calendar, it will still be made up for you. But you may work an early shift today, a late-evening shift tomorrow, and an overnight shift the day after. If you try to avoid this arrangement, you may be told that if you cannot cooperate this way, you should not have applied for a rotating-shift position. You may even be scheduled to work every weekend and national holiday, while the allowance is only one payment per month and far below the subsidy normally provided for shift work. At present, new employees probably will no longer be switched drastically between early, late-evening, and overnight shifts within a single week.

3. Do not cooperate too excessively with every company decision. When staffing is at its lowest, do not think that staying to cooperate with the schedule and helping other colleagues get through it will be appreciated. Please do not join in merely to “build relationships.” If there are complaints during this period, and this situation occurs, prioritize your own well-being and leave as soon as possible. You will certainly be punished later: once a replacement is found before the end of the year, you may be told to get out the very next day, with only the minimum statutory severance pay.

4. If there are problems with the work content or SOPs, simply give up thinking and do not easily report abnormalities. The best approach is to zone out. Do not make preventive inquiries or suggestions, or record abnormal cases for future reference. Employees who speak up will not be considered good employees.

5. When it comes to the work content and various situations that arise, you often will not receive the information immediately, and even the way it is conveyed may differ. Compare notes with your team members yourself; if there is no answer, handle it according to the method in point 4 above.

6. Because each shift does different work, the morning shift handles the most miscellaneous tasks. When non-morning-shift staff have free time, they should familiarize themselves with certain operations on their own whenever possible, in ways that are not recorded by the system, because you will definitely forget them.

Pros

Take a Java programming test. Not bad—ask for 48k and you’ll get hired.

Cons

At the beginning, you need to replace your pass. Once the entry/exit pass application is completed, it won’t be troublesome.
